This command creates a scrolling field whose scrollbar is hidden by an opaque button. Clicking anywhere on the field when the field is locked will cause the field to scroll automatically, at a steady pace, until its text has all been shown. Clicking again will start the scrolling over again from the top. The rate at which the field scrolls (in pixels per cycle) can be set using the SET SCROLL RATEΓǪ command in the XTRA menu.

Using the BEGIN CHAINΓǪ command in the BUTN menu, you can set an AutoScroll field so that it will begin scrolling as soon as its slide opens, without your having to click on it. To do so, simply make the ON OPENCARDΓǪ button the beginning of a chain, and then put the Autoscroll field somewhere (usually next) in that chain.

  30. AutoScroll fields are preset for 48-point SmartBasel, centered, with wide margins.
